I haven't been posting awile as you've probably realized but I wanted to let you know that I havn't forgotten I think about it almost every day when I could post again. I just wanted to say that I may not be posting but that doesn't mean Ive forgotten. Im also still on the blogging world as I visit many other blogger sites.

Brightstar's Story: Part One

Tanglestar was not a bad leader. She was just quite, and not the leader type of cat. She wasn't a well respected cat, not because she was mean but because she never showed any leadership or powerful say over the clan. She never led the clan into battles and never chose to fight, which would ultimately come to hurt her.

3 moons after Tanglestar became leader 3 kits were born to Cloverleaf and Frostpatch in the heart of leaf-bare. Two of them died one day after they were born, so only one remained. He was named Barkkit because right after he was born a piece of bark fell down from a tree and gave him a scar on his nose.

The medicine cat apprentice at that time was Blossomheart. She received a prophecy the day the 3 kits were born at the moonpool, On that half-moon at the moonpool as she dream t, Graystripe, her father came to her and told her: "The time of peace has come to a end, a kit will destroy Thunderclan and all will be lost".

Brightpaw was bursting with excitement. It was time for his warrior ceremony after the ceremony he would keep a vigil for one night and then he would get to sleep in the warriors den, not have to do apprentice chores and he would get all the honor and responsibility of a full warrior. He couldn't wait.

"It is time to make a new warrior for Thunderclan." Tanglestar said shyly. "Doveheart and I agree that the time has come for Brightpaw to become a warrior. Brightpaw would you please step forward."

I, Tanglestar, leader of Thunderclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn.

As the clan chanted his new name, Brightfire heard Barkkit complaining to his mother "Why can't I be a warrior." Cloverleaf replied "because you're not old enough yet", "but I could be just as good as any other cat." As Barkkit stalked away a leaf fell in front of him, and in frustration he pounced and shredded it viciously.

Fawnkit, Oakkit, Sparkkit, and Firekit have reached their sixth moon and it is time for them to become apprentices. From this moment on until you have recieved your warrior names you will be known as Fawnpaw, Oakpaw, Sparkpaw and Firepaw.

Blazefoot, Rainstorm, Brambleface and Breathe I think that it is time for you three to become mentors.

Also it's the half-moon so Iceflower and Dunepaw will go, so Dunepaw can be accepted by Starclan as a medicine cat apprentice.

Brightstar's Story: Prologue

Brightkit was born to Flowerpetal (daughter of Lionstar) and Bumblesting. He had a sister, Sunkit who died when she was 1 moon old. Brightkit became a apprentice when he was six moons old, his mentor was Doveheart. He grew up as a cat of Thunderclan, there was the good times, bad times, the sad time and the happy. Brightpaw's best friend was a cat named Duskpaw, Duskpaw was the son of Brightkit's mentor, Doveheart and Briarpatch. Duskpaw also had a brother named Brownpaw. So they all got there warrior names together (Brightfire, Duskmoon, and Browntail) and became warriors of Thunderclan, but that was when everything changed.

During the reigns of Firestar, Bramblestar, and Lionstar Thunderclan was a clan to be proud of, the most powerful clan in the forest.
Lionstar lost his ninth life three days before Brightkit was born. The leader to succeed him was Tanglethorn/star. Lionstar knew that she would not be a good leader, the reason Lionstar appointed her in the first place was because she was the most experienced cat availible. Lionstar did not expect to die while Tanglethorn was deputy because when he appointed Tanglethorn deputy he still had 3 lives left. He unexpectedly lost two more lives the very next day when he was ambushed by a fox and ripped to shreds. So Lionstar then realized that maybe Tanglethorn would end up being leader after all, and he was scared that Thunderclan might become weaker. Lucky for Lionstar it was a time of peice in the forest. Lionstar figuered that he would be able to not lose his ninth life before Tanglethorn joined the elders. But this was Lionstar's great fault because he didn't think to himself what other dangers there could be besides battle and sickness. Lionstar was out hunting one day and he spotted a mouse struggling to get out of a wire. He pounced and killed the mouse and brought it back to camp. He then ate the mouse and felt fine afterwords. When dawn came Lionstar was dead, Jayfeather, the medicine cat confirmed that his brother had died of poison and concluded that it must have been something he ate. They mourned Lionstar's death on that night an owl floated over the moon and blocked it out, this was a sign that the great reign of Thunderclan was at a end. The clan welcomed Tanglethorn as their leader, not knowing what horror lay ahead.

Brightstar's Story

Two cats burst through the thorn tunnel, a gray tabby tom and a black and white she cat. The tom said: "Brightfi-star, we need to talk to you". Brightstar suddenly remembered who these cats were. Ok Browntail, you and Swiftfoot may come to my den so we may talk.

(In Brightstar's Den)

What has happened that made you come so far to see me? How did you find out where I went after it happened?

We were forced to flee by Barkstar, we met some cats who called themselves The Tribe of Swaying Meadows, Swiftfoot said. They told us that they knew of some cats who lived in the mountains across the river, so we travled to the mountains and we met a cat named Sunstar. They seemed to follow most of the same traditions as we did and Sunstar said that there were more clans living around here. We left "Wispclan" and journed from place to place looking for some cats that could tell us where you were.

We finally met a cat who called himself Pine. We asked Pine if he knew where we could find a cat named Brightfire. Pine said that he had heard of a clan where there was a cat named Brightstar. He said that he was a orange and white tom and we figured it must be you, Browntail mewed. We followed his directions and here we are now.

So what made you come all this way to find me?

We have a message for you. Barkstar has conquored the lake making every cat do as he says and will kill them if they disagree. Know that he has fufilled his ambition all he wants is revenge on you. He knows that you're still alive and he says that he is coming to find you. He will stop at nothing to fufill that promise. He will come and find you, so all we have come to do is to warn you to be ready for him.

Thank you for this news Browntail and Swiftfoot, you may stay for the night if you wish.

It's okay Brightstar but we need to get going. Don't forget his attack could come at the least expected time so always be ready.

(Browntail and Swiftfoot then left the leaders den and padded out through the thorn tunnel)

As soon as Brightstar walked out of his den cats began padding over and started asking questions. "Who were those cats and how do you know them?" Bumblestripe mewed "Ya and what did they want with us" said Newlight.

Brightstar's heart sank. He feared that this day would come, it was time for the clan to hear his story.

The Apprentices that I will be taking are Scorchpaw, Blazepaw, Rainpaw and Breathe. Darkleaf has also told me that she wishes to come. Every one else will gaurd the camp, Tigerpelt you will be in charge of camp while we're gone. We leave at sunset.

New Kit and new deputy

A new kit has joined Smokeclan, she is gray with black paws. She will be known as Sootykit. She is 5 moons old and will be cared for by Dreamwish for the next moon until she is a apprentice.

Also Dreamwish has stepped down as deputy so now she will become a regular warrior.

So a new deputy will be appointed! I say these words before Starclan so that they may hear and approve of my choice. Cloudfire will be the new deputy of Smokeclan.

Wispclan are being attacked by rouges they have asked for our help.

I would like to send a patrol to help them. I'll lead the patrol with Tigerpelt, Pineshadow, Cloverpond, Patherpelt, Brightflower, Duststrom, Feathernose, Rainshadow, Falconswoop, Lilypool, Bumblestripe, Goldenstream, Glimmerpelt, Flameclaw, Stripefeather, Blazepaw and Rainpaw.

While Blazepaw and Rainpaw were out hunting they met a cat named Breathe she told them that she wished to join Smokeclan becuase she wanted the comfort of cats around her. Breathe is Rainpaw's sister. I have agreed to let her join Smokeclan. She wishes to keep her name as Breathe.

Stuff

We only had minor winds as after effects of the tornado but some clans (Lakeclan, Stormclan etc) got major effects from the tornado. Luckily no cats were badly injured although Duststorm got a bad scrape from a fallen branch. The only damage done to our camp was that the entrance barrier was destroyed. Other than that nothing bad. I want Tigerpelt to be incharge of reparing the camp.

The contest will be canceled because it turns out that Sandpaw does visit this website often but i didn't know that because she doesn't comment often. I assumed that she wouldn't be coming on anymore because on her website (Crystal clan) she said that she was not going to post anymore so i assumed that that meant that she wasn't going to go on any other clan websites either. I would like to apologize to Sandpaw for the misunderstanding and i would like to apologize to everyone who was hoping to become med. cat apprentice. I will still hold the contest for fun and announce the winner when i come back. And if a med cat were ever to die/retire the person who won would become med cat/ med cat apprentice. As some of you know already I am hosting a contest for the new med cat apprentice. For more details check on the other pages section under Contest! Fox Attack!

Brightstar sniffed. "I smell something I can't tell what it is... Fox!" and close to camp too. Suddenly a huge Fox burst through the camp entrance. It started speaking it sounded funny but it could speak cat. "I come for kill, for revenge. Mate died by cat i seek kill i seek revenge" (A group of rouges had killed a fox a couple sunrises ago but the fox thought it was the clan cats) The fox leaped at the nearest cat, Goldenstream. He closed her in his jaws but she scratched his muzzle and he let go. "Fox attack, Fox attack" Goldenstream yowlled.

Flamewhisker burst through the warriors den to gaurd the nursery along with Icefrost and Marshfur. Tigerpelt, Cloudfire, Willowfeather and Flamepaw leaped on the fox but it through them off with little effort. The fox charged toward the Nursery. Suddenly Songleaf burst though the Nursery and sprinted toward the Medicine cat's den. "Iceflower, Sandpaw Ferndapple's kits are coming NOW"! Iceflower and Sandpaw ran out and disappeared into the Nursery.

Meanwhile the warriors and apprentices were keeping the fox from getting into the Nursery but the fox was throwing everycat off of him easily. The fox knocked Pineshadow on the ground and stood over him about to make his kill. But out of nowwhere Speckleear appeared and leaped at the fox. Knocking the fox off balance it fell to the ground Speckleear stood over it and leaned down to make the death bite, but suddenly the fox surged up and bit Speckleear hard in the neck and she went limp.

The fox then felt a sharp pain in it's tail and turned to see Flamewhisker clamped down hard on it's tail. It screamed in furey and turned on him. It was about to kill him when Speckleear rose from where she was lying, bleeding heavily from her neck she launched her self at the fox and bit down hard on it's neck. The fox went limp.

She tumbled over and the fox's dead body weight landed hard on her. Brightstar watched in horror as his daughters body went limp under the fox's weight. "Good by my beloved daughter" Brightstar whispered as he crouched over her body "And may Starclan light your path".

Iceflower burst from the Nursery and announced, "Ferndapple has had 4 beautiful kits." Suddenly Brightstar thought of the prophecy that had come to him last time he visited the Moonpool. "To save a life is to take your own, but to take your own is a new beginning". Now Brightstar realized what it meant. Speckleear had saved her brother Flamewhisker's life but it had cost her her own life. It symbolized a new beginning because Flamewhisker and Ferndapple's kits had been born when she died. So even though Speckleear had died her death had brought 4 new lifes into the world. Then Brightstar crouched down beside his daughters body to sit her vigil.

This is the Clan Leisure place. It's just outside of camp. It has comfortably moss to relax or sun yourself on, rocks for kits to play on and a stream for warriors and apprentices to go for a nice swim. Also tonight is the halfmoon so Iceflower and Sandpaw will be traveling to the moonp- (Ferndapple and Flamewhisker come rushing in). (Flamewhisker speaking while Ferndapple drops their prey on the fresh kill pile) We were out hunting and we smelled fox and badger so we followed the scent trail and it led to the Greatdrop. At the bottom of the falls there was the dead body of a badger and a fox. We think they got into a fight and topled over the edge.
(Brightstar speaking) Thank you for this information A patrol will go out to infestigate at once. The patrol shall be Myself, Tigerpelt, Brightflower, Flowersong and Ferndapple.

The Warrior Code

This is the Warrior Code. Follow it to the best of your ability and to what you know to be right.

1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships in other Clans, but your loyalty should always be to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.

2. Do not hunt or trespass on other Clan's territory.

3. Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted for the elders.

4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to Starclan for its life.

5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.

6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.

7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.

8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.

9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.

10. A gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for one night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.

11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.

12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if that kit is from different Clan.

13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.

14. An honorable warrior does not kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.

15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

New kits and missing cats

Willowmoon has just had Duststorm's kits! She has had a she cat and a tom. The she cat will be known as Mistkit and the tom will be known as Nightkit. Last night while Pantherpelt was on watch Swiftshadow and Wasppaw went out to hunt. But by dawn they hadn't come back so I sent out a patrol consisting of Pantherpelt, Flowersong and Rainpaw. They followed their scent trail but it abrubtly stops at the Greatdrop. We don't know what happened to them.

Also in case you were wondering if you have a mate which is played by a different person and you have kits whoever plays the mother plays the kits as well.

Now that we have 4 new apprentices they will need mentors. Icefrost you will be mentor to Snowpaw, teach her your endurence. Tigerpelt you will be mentor to Flamepaw teach him your strength. Flowersong you will be mentor to Gingerpaw teach her your compassion. Marshfur you will be mentor to Spottedpaw teach her your kindness. Welcome them with me! I would like to announce that Dreamwish has had her kits. She has had 4 healthy kits and they will be known as Newkit, Adderkit, Duskkit, and Poppykit. Also I couldn't get Snowpaw, Flamepaw, Gingerpaw, Willowmoon, and Adderkit's picture to work so I chose one. I am working on getting them to work so these pics are probably going to be temporay. I will let you know if I can't get them to work. Lastly I would like to say that Sunflower should be having her kits any day now so I would like to remind her to have them soon. Also if queens who don't have kits could tell me if they would like to remain in the Nursery as a helper or if they would like to return to warrior duties.

I feel that he is worthy of the temporary deputy position and I commend him to you as a replacement deputy until Dreamwish's return. Icefrost will be the temporary deputy of Smokeclan.

I, Brightstar leader of Smokeclan call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices they have trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn. Dustpaw, Specklepaw, and Flamepaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect and defend this clan even at the cost of you life? (They say I do) Then by the powers of Starclan I grant them their warrior names.

Lost kits

While on a patrol we found 7 kits. They had no mother with them. We will care for them and bring them up in Smokeclan. There names are Icekit, Snowkit, Mintkit, Flamekit, Stonekit, Smokekit and Moonkit. Swiftshadow and Brambleheart will care for them and Sunflower will give them milk as she is about to have her kits.

Froststar, I wasn't able to get Icekit, Mintkit, and Smokekit's pictures to work so I chose other pics. Could you comment below if its ok to keep those pictures or if you want differant ones. If you want differant ones could you post them below.

Sparklekit has just told me her story. Her and her mother were living as rogues. They came into the forest to hunt and the fox attacked and killed her mother. She will stay here as a Smokeclan kit. Songleaf will care for her until the next moon when she will become a apprentice. Please welcome her.

Nursery Stuff

Brambleheart is expecting kits and she is going to move into the nursery. So her apprentice Fernpaw will have to have a new mentor. Her new mentor will be Icefrost.
I would like the Queens who's kits have just become apprentices (Windfur) to comment here saying if they'll stay in the nursery as a helper or something or if they'll return to their warrior duties. Also if you a queen and is expecting kits (Brambleheart and Sunflower) then i also would like if you would comment here telling me when they will be born, what their names are, what they look like etc.

Apprentices and a Kit

These three kits have reached their sixth moon and are ready to become apprentices. By naming new apprentices we show that Smokeclan is strong. Featherkit, Waspkit, and Rainkit will you please step forward. From this day forward until they have earned their warrior names they will be known as Featherpaw, Wasppaw, and Rainpaw. Pineshadow you are ready for your first apprentice you will mentor Featherpaw. I hope that you will pass on your strength and your courage to this apprentice. (They touch noses) Cloudfire you mentored Flowersong well and I have decided that you are ready for a second apprentice. You will be mentor to Wasppaw I have no doubt that you will pass on your knowledge and your loyalty to this apprentice. (They touch noses). Pantherpelt although you are a new warrior you have shown me that you are ready for a apprentice. You will mentor Rainpaw I hope that you will pass on your determination and fighting abilities. While my patrol was out hunting we came across a fox crouching over a kit luckly the kit was still alive. Specklepaw brought her back to camp while me Pineshadow and Newlight drove him off into Swiftclan territory. She is in Iceflowers den right now sleeping. Iceflower says she will be able to tell us her story about what happened tommorow. She will be known as Sparklekit, she is 5 moons old and Songleaf has agreed to care for her until the next moon when she will be a apprentice. I want tyhe patrols to watch out for the fox even though Im pretty sure that it's Swiftclan's problem now.

It is time to send out the dawn patrol. Cloudfire will lead the patrol along with Tigerpelt, Cloverpond and Fernpaw as well . They will patrol the border with Darkclan just to make sure all is quiet after the battle. I am going on a hunting patrol with Newlight, Pineshadow, and Specklepaw. Sandpaw is also coming along to collect some herbs. Snowflower has changed her name to Iceflower, she tells me that Silverflame's is recovering well and that he will be back to normal strenth soon. Also please welcome Flowersong who is joining Smokeclan.

Battle

In our battle with Darkclan we managed to drive them out, which should keep them away from us for awhile. We managed to kill Snakestar so Deadheart soon to be Deadstar is their leader. Silverflame is badly injured but Snowflower says he'll recover.

I have decided that we shall attack Darkclan so that we can teach them a lesson not to invade our territory again. I will take Dreamwish, Silverflame, Tigerpelt, Pineshadow, Newlight, Specklepaw, Dustpaw, and Flamepaw with me. The rest of the warriors shall be a reenforcer patrol incase we are getting beat. The battle will take place in the clan territories page.

Moonpool

Tommorow at dawn i plan to travel to the moonpool. I won't be back until 6 day later (Saturday afternoon, the 18th.) Dreamwish you are in charge of the camp while i'm gone. Also if you are a queen and you have kits could you please tell me how many moons old they are. If you are expecting kits tell me when you plan on having them. Lastly when me and Marshfur were on patrol we found a pile of prey bones with Darkclan scent all over them. So I want all patrols to be on the lookout for more evidence. We must be prepared for a attack so i want at least 2 warriors in camp at all times and no apprentice should go out without a warrior.

1. Write the name you would like to be known as ex. Stormclaw

2. Write your position; Warrior, apprentice, queen, elder, or kit

3. Write a detailed description of you or send me a link to a picture. If you don't send me a picture I'll find one for you.

If you are a warrior tell me who your mate is (if you have one)

If you are a queen tell me who your mate is and who your kits are and how many moons old they are. (1 moon = 1 week)

You don't have to play the mate that you want but the person who does play the mate has to agree to be mates.

If you are a kit tell me who your mother is and how many moons old you are.

You may have as many cats in this clan as you would like but if this clan becomes more popular I'll have to put a limit on the number of cats you may have.

Here is a list of herbs and their uses:

Borage Leaves;; To be chewed and eaten. The plant can be distinguished by its small blue or pink star-shaped flowers and hairy leaves. Great for nursing queens as it helps increase their supply of milk. Also brings down fever.

Burdock Roots;; A tall-stemmed, sharp-smelling thistle with dark leaves. A medicine cat must dig up the roots, wash off the dirt, and chew them into a pulp, which can be applied to rat bites. Cures infection.

Catmint {AKA Catnip};; A delicious-smelling, leafy plant that's hard to find in the wild; often found growing in Twoleg gardens. The best remedy for greencough.

Chervil;; A sweet-smelling plant with large, spreading fernlike leaves and smal lwhite flowers. The juice of the leaves can be used for infected wounds, and chewing the roots helps with bellyache.

Cobweb;; Spiderwebs can be found all over the forest; be careful not to bring the spider along when you take the web! Medicine cats wrap it around an injury to soak up the blood and keep the wound clean. Stops bleeding.

Coltsfoot;; A flowering plant, a bit like a dandelion, with yellow or white flowers. The leaves can be chewed into a pulp, which is eaten to help shortness of breath.

Comfrey;; Identifiable by its large leaves, and small bell-shaped flowers, which can be pink, white, or purple. The fat black roots of this plant can be chewed into a poultice to mend broken bones or soothe wounds.

Dock;; A plant similar to sorrel. The leaf can be chewed up and applied to soothe scratches.

Dried Oak Leaf;; Collected in the autumn and stored in a dry place. Stops infections.

Feverfew;; A small bush with flowers like daisies. The leaves can be eaten to cool down body temperature, particularly for cats with fever or chills.

Goldenrod;; A tall plant with bright yellow flowers. A poultice of this is terrific for healing wounds.

Honey;; A sweet, golden liquid created by bees. Difficult to collect without getting stung, but great for soothing infections or the throats of cats who have breathed smoke.

Juniper Berries;; A bush with spiky dark green leaves and purple berries. The berries soothe bellyaches and help cats who are having trouble breathing.

Lavender;; A small purple flowering plant. Cures fever.

Marigold;; A bright orange or yellow flower that grows low to the ground. The petals or leaves can be chewed into a pulp and applied as a poultice to wounds. Stops infections.

Mouse Bile;; A bad-smelling liquid that is the only remedy for ticks. Dab a little moss soaked in bile on a tick and it'll fall right off. Wash paws throughly in running water afterward.

Poppy Seed;; Small black seeds shaken from a dried poppy flower, theese are fed to cats to help them sleep. Soothes cats suffering from shock or distress. Not recommended for nursing queens.

Stinging Nettle;; The spiny green seeds can be administered to a cat who's swallowed poison, while the leaves can be applied to a wound to bring down swelling.

Tansy;; A strong-smelling plant with round yellow flowers. Good for curing coughs, but must be eaten in small doses.

Thyme;; This may be eaten to calm anxiety and frayed nerves.

Watermint;; A leafy green plant found in streams or damp earth. Usuall chewed into a pulp and then fed to a cat suffering bellyache.

Wild Garlic;; Rolling in a patch of wild garlic can help prevent infection, especially for dangerious wounds like rat bites.

Yarrow;; Flowering plant whoes leaves can be made into a poultice and applied to wound sor scratches to expel poison.

Note:
Deathberries;; Red berries that can be fatally poisonous to kits and elders. They are NOT a medicine. Known to Twolegs as yew berries. BEWARE!
